Athens, Parthenon Alter.  Modeled in Sketchup, drawn in Layout, textures in Adobe Photoshop. A great pleasure was working with highly trained sculptors. I did not have to model any of the sculpted detail for a router to cut from a block of foam.

300 Rise of an Empire

300 Rise of an Empire was filmed in Sophia Bulgaria, but all of the design work was done in Los Angeles. Because we were working at such a remove in both time and space from the construction crew, our drawings had to be tight and dense. All the style sheets and key research had to be included in each drawing packet. It was also my first attempt at drawing detailed ornament and terrain sections digitally instead of by hand. We were like the Spartan warriors of old. Flabby, out-of-shape, middle-aged Spartan warriors.
