Seven Psychopaths, directed by Martin McDonagh of In Bruges, and Banshees of Inisherin, is a comedy about writer’s block, kidnapped dogs, the Zodiac Killer, and the My Lai massacre…well it might be easier to list what's not in the plot. Suffice it to say it had range. The film was largely filmed on location, in and around Los Angeles, with some work being done in the desert around Twenty-Nine Palms. My job was confined to building bits of Viet Nam and a prison yard, but it was fun, and Tom Waits liked my hair.
