West World, season four was a challenging season as we were just back from lockdown and suffering material shortages (Materials had gone up 400%!) and a labor shortage. This meant that we could not afford as many lavish builds as the previous seasons and what we did build used inexperienced propmakers we had plucked off the street. Construction had to use CNC routers for anything that was not right-angled carpentry. As you will see from the following images there is hardly a corner anywhere and few flat walls at that. That was all well and good, but it turned out our CNC operator had no idea how to operate his router. As I said, Challenging.
What we did was spectacular, even discounting the constraints under which we worked.
